Sheena Barreto
Speech Pathologist
I have been a member of Speech Pathology Australia for the past 14+ years, having worked at both private and non-profit organizations. Besides being an active Speech Pathology Australia member, I strive to continuously improve my knowledge and skills as an active CPSP member. I spent 4 years studying and working overseas as an Audiologist and Speech Pathologist for the youth.
As a Speech Pathologist, I am passionate about the outcomes my work delivers when I work with children through their learning difficulties. All children are different, and while some progress very quickly, others take longer to show improvement. It is essential to build the program tailored for each child. I am a firm believer in early intervention for children with speech disorders, it can boost their confidence and improve quality of life as they grow up and reach school age years.
Outside of work, I am married with two lovely daughters. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, and going on short trips during school breaks. My other passion is for baking and I dream of being a dessert chef maybe one day.
